This is a book of whats but not hows or more importantly, whys. It's a glorified glossary design book with quotes.I always try to learn others' processes to better my understanding of approaches, thinking, etc., and I had apprehensions about this book despite the positive reviews.This is probably the first book ever purchased I wanted to return within 5 minutes of reading. It's also the first book I've had to leave a negative/any review.There's no substance to the chapters, just lists of key terms relevant to the cycle of the brand strategy process. The main content of the book is material pulled from outside sources rather the author, and quotes to supplement the dictionary-esque copy in the book.For example, in "Process: conducting research" - "Clarify vision, strategies, goals, and values" — how? What's the actual process to clarify strategy?For those looking to add a resource about brand strategy, especially those new to the subject, you'll be better off using Google than this book.

Bought it for a class and actually had to read it. Doesn't go into as much detail as I think it should. Just skims the surface and points out major issues and things you should be doing to brand a business or person. Has several pages with lists of ideas (for example; touchpoints) Good for a beginner/class but for someone really wanting to get into the deep end of branding I would look for something else. Layout is simple and easy to understand.

This book is incredibly comprehensive and visually engaging. I think it's a "must" for both students and professionals. An incredible tool for the aspiring brand professional, small business or really any person or entity working to create a plan around branding and logo identity.

Wonderful book, chok full of useful information. Really complements my coursework. Wish I could compare it to the other battery books, sorry.

Maybe I had the wrong expectation from the book. The book only brings elementary and high school level material and will not allow anybody to really design a real battery. It is a real waste of time for readers with university degrees.

I was disappointed by this book as the information was a little light on and not up to date. Very little about LiPo batteries and some of the information dissagrees with most other sources. Most times that I reference the book it doesn't provide an answer.

This is the best book on batteries that I have found to date. It covers the history, theory, characteristics, application, and charging of most types of batteries including the latest on LIthium-ion batteries. A great resource and the price can't be beat.

We can petition for the removal of a generational curse from our own family line and from those of others. The Lord is looking for someone to stand in the gap and present an appeal to Him. When the case is successfully presented in the Courtroom of Heaven, we have the privilege to execute the judgment of His Grace and Mercy. This execution is in the form of the declarations of His blessings for this particular case.

Dear Heavenly Father, I am here today for this pre-appointed court appearance. I can stand here in the righteousness of Jesus Christ because I have prepared myself through the prayer of repentance and forgiveness. Because I am in Him and He is in me, I have been given Power of Attorney to act on His behalf (as He would act) toward those who I am here to represent. The case I am presenting now is the one that may be against my generational bloodline.As an Ambassador of Reconciliation,I am standing in the gap in repentance and ask for forgiveness for any sin that has been committed against the Lord and His Word by any of my ancestors.In Isaiah 58:12, You speak of those who would stand in the gap for the generations. You say;Those from among you shall build the old waste places; You shall raise up the foundations of many generations. You shall be called the Repairer of the Breach, the Restorer of Streets to Dwell In. I am thankful and blessed that I can stand in the gap for my lineage. I believe that when this scripture says those from among you it means that I am included, because I am of You, Jesus. So I stand before You, pleading the case on behalf of myself and others. I am here to build up the old waste places the enemy has stolen, with the help of the Holy Spirit and Jesus. We will raise up the foundations of many generations. In Jesus Christ, I can be called a restorer of the Breach.I am asking for a restoration on behalf of each of the generations before,and for those who follow. The restoration I am petitioning for is a spiritual restoration, an erasing of sins from the past, expunging the family record and reversing any curses; making them into blessings that flow down the family bloodline. According to Your Word, if a curse can find a cause or a legal right to attach itself to us or anyone in our bloodline, it can legally operate within us, both spiritually and physically. Sin gives the curse the cause it is looking for. You say in 1 Corinthians 15:56 that The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. I know that repentance for sin and the application of the Blood of Jesus over the sin is the only way to remove all legal rights the enemy has to operate through a curse.I am here to present a plea regarding every accusation or charge the Court might be enforcing against generational bloodline because of the legal rights that have been obtained for any outstanding debt of sin. I ask that all recorded sin be included. I ask that the record of evidence being presented against my spiritual legacy would be traced back to the very beginning of when family heritage came into being. I request this investigation include both sides of parents lineage,as well as anyone who has ever been considered a legal part of my generational bloodline. This would include anyone who has married into or become a part of the family through legal adoption. Please include all of their birth bloodlines in this plea.I ask, as I stand in the gap repenting that You remove all altars or strongholds in mind that may have been built up throughout generations.... --Jeanette Strauss

An amazing book telling the story of the meeting of two lines of thinking about similar problems in the context of very different cultural foundations. An amazing and highly illustrative account of how different cultures can cooperate and fully understand each other with great appreciation if that meeting is approached with a desire to find commonality and understanding. I think it should required reading for science teachers and perhaps all teachers.

The basic sicience was interesting. My most valuable take away was the writer's struggle with the cultural diferences, and the insights he developers . I plan on rereading this book.

This book is well written, and provides simple, elegant means to understand complex scientific principles. I only gave it four stars because I wanted more insight into the cultural differences between the author and the monks. (I only read half way through, so maybe the rest of the book did this to a greater extent.)

This is an especially good book for individuals with a career in teaching and education. It describes very well the teaching methods and experiences of the author as he traveled to India's border with Tibet and taught a three week class to buddhist monks. The author describes his day to day experiences, his interactions with his students, and observations of life around him during his trip. This book also contains complex cosmologic concepts that are explained in an way the average individual can understand. I bought the kindle version because I wanted to learn more about Buddhism, and I did. But the book contains much more information about astronomy, science, physics, the nature of time.

This is a book that combines scientific information with a dive into Tibetan Buddhist culture. If there is a flaw in this book, it is that the book is too short!Wonderful and thought provoking. I enjoyed it all.

While I applaud Mr. Impey's enthusiasm and creative teaching methods, I was hoping for more about the culture and lives of the monks. Instead most of it seems to be about astronomical concepts and the methods he used to convey them in the classroom. I'm a teacher, writer and an astronomy buff--but I already knew most of the material the author explains in such detail. For me the book was a bit tedious.Moreover Mr. Impey relied on a translator to explain some fairly sophisticated concepts (relativity, quantum mechanics, the expansion of the universe). It's quite difficult to explain these subtle ideas to educated English-speaking westerners, and I can't help but wonder how much these monks really understood about these and other topics. I suspect not much. It was a worthy effort on his part, but something was lacking for me in this book. I guess I wanted to know more about the individual monks, their spiritual practices, and the Tibetan community as a whole. He has some material about this, but not nearly enough.By the way, one quarter of the book (kindle version) consists of the index. Take that into account when estimating the page count.

This book pretty much delivers everything one would expect from its title and synopsis. The sheer enthusiasm Impey has for his subject is only matched by the monk's uninhibited desire to learn everything they can. The situation exacts every kind of on-the-spot inventiveness by Chris Impey to convey his subject 'The Cosmos' to the cloistered lives of the monks. They in turn by their presence (both of body and mind) open Impey to a world beyond the simple materialism he works in. It's a wonderful book, to read slowly and enjoy - as well as learn from.

An interesting combination of description of a different culture, great imagination in how to teach to this culture and author's ruminations on Buddhism.
